So I got a message on TikTok from someone claiming they wanted to give me a $5,000 'Random Cashapp Blessing.' Of course, my scam alarms went off, but I decided to have some fun since I was bored and, hey, maybe it was legit? (Spoiler: It wasn’t.) I told them a made-up story about fixing my wife’s car for her birthday. They wanted to move to Signal or Telegram, asked for my Cashapp tag again, sent fake transaction pics, and then said I needed to send them $30 to unlock the funds. Total red flag. I called their bluff and made them send me $1 first. Shockingly, they did! So, I ended up scamming the scammer and got one whole dollar out of the deal. Best dollar ever.
