So here’s a fun one: I got a hedgehog for Christmas (yeah, really!). My daughter caught me off guard with Kitty, a tiny prickly ball of joy. One highlight? The Republican National Convention in Cleveland. Yeah, me - a huge liberal - took Kitty and Boo downtown. We crashed some celeb selfie ops, ended up on TV, and even scored some Today Show swag. Hedgehogs gone political, anyone?

The rest of my hedgehogs? Mostly rescues from folks who couldn’t keep up. Heads up: hedgehogs are night owls and maybe not best for tiny hands (quills are real!). These adorable little furballs live about five years but come with their own quirky health stuff.
