Meet Josh Sundquist, the Halloween costume champ who turns his one leg into a creative superpower every year. Seriously, his costumes? Total wow-factor!
Josh didn’t always celebrate spooky season. After losing his leg to cancer at nine, he flipped the script - using humor and imagination to show off what makes him unique. Now, he spends months planning Halloween and makes the internet adore him every time.
This year’s costume? A giant, orange Florida man shaped like the Sunshine State (because his family moved there so his kiddo can be close to grandparents). His wife and toddler join the fun too - his baby was a hurricane and his wife an alligator. Perfect squad!
People can’t stop raving about how cool and funny Josh’s costumes are, and honestly, we’re hooked too.

Josh’s Halloween journey kicked off in 2010 with a half-eaten gingerbread man getup designed just to make friends laugh. Since then, he’s been everything from the Pixar lamp to Thor’s hammer, even an inflatable tube man last year (so iconic!). Each look is super clever because he uses his body shape in the costume designs.
He loves how these costumes break stereotypes while making people smile. Plus, he teams up with a prop maker to turn his wild ideas into real-life wearable art.

Josh also shares his story on his Apple TV+ show, “Best Foot Forward,” hoping to shine a light on disability in a fun, fresh way.
His favorite wild costume ever? The pink flamingo. Picture this: Josh balancing on his hands, turning his leg into the flamingo’s neck. He even rocked that look at the zoo, but the real flamingos were totally unimpressed!

Bottom line? Josh’s costumes aren’t just funny - they're a one-of-a-kind celebration of creativity and confidence. Can’t wait to see what he comes up with next!
