My Grandpappy’s Driver’s License From 1889 to 1975!
This driver's license lasted almost as long as my grandpa did! Born in 1889 (no need for four-digit year back then), he drove into his 80s despite only going to school until 4th grade. His wife signed for him since he couldn’t write. Also, he was sure the moon was a big fireball - guess NASA didn't convince him!
To count as ephemera, the thing has to have words or printing, but it doesn’t have to be paper. Plus, it was made just to be used for a short time and then tossed. So no fancy books or souvenirs that were meant to last.
