When Animal Photos Go Hilariously Wrong (Or Right, Who’s Counting?)

Getting a perfect animal photo is tough. So most people take tons of pics hoping for that one keeper. Phones are basically stuffed with 20% more pet selfies than photos of partners or family. Yep, pets win the ROI on photo storage!

A fun poll found the average pet owner has 176 pics of their furry pals on their phone, while partner photos linger at just 147.

Parents and best friends? Way behind. Average pics: 65 for parents, 57 for besties. No wonder people say snapping pet photos is basically an expression of love (46% agree!).

Turns out, your camera roll is basically your heart-on-display.

Scrolling through those shots makes 51% happy, 36% nostalgic, and 33% downright warm and fuzzy. Just last month, folks added 20 new pet pics to their phone (and 14% snap daily - talk about dedication!).

Millennials are the reigning champs with 217 pet pics, Gen Z vs Boomers coming in at 204 and 103 photos, respectively.

More than half see their pets as full-on family members worthy of endless photo sessions.

Playtime is the #1 photo op (62%), and even snoozing pets can't escape the camera (56%). People prefer candid shots (68%), but when pets act weird, phones come out fast (70%).

And yep, pet pics reign supreme on social media, getting way more likes and shares than your other posts.

Wild animals are stealing the spotlight too. Believe it or not, 96 million US adults are into birdwatching, feeding, or snapping photos of our feathered friends each year. That’s more than a third of all adults over age 16!
