Quirky Ceramic Critters That’d Totally Steal Your Heart (And Maybe Your Salt)

Agata shared how her fun ceramic creatures pop into existence: “I don’t really know where ideas come from - they just pop into my head and I try to bring them to life exactly as I see them. I never tried to create a fancy style; it just grew naturally over time, like a weird signature of who I am.”

We also asked how she mixes funny sculptures with useful stuff: “My process is kind of all over the place (maybe that’s the ADHD kicking in). Sometimes I make a plain vase and then decide to give it a little creature twist. Other times I dream up a crazy animal first, then figure out how it could do something like hold a candle or be a dish. Unexpected magic!”

Dogs are a big deal in her work. She said, “I’ve always loved animals, especially dogs. To me, dogs are the absolute best creatures ever. They bring all the good vibes.” And some poodles are even a sweet tribute to her dog Rudolf.

On why her ceramics feel like a mix of silly, sweet, and a bit weird, Agata says: “That’s just me shining through! Humor, tenderness, and a little strangeness are all part of my personality, so they end up baked right into my clay critters. When I make stuff, I’m just being me, and it shows.”
