Wait, They Actually Did That to Their ‘Friends’?

So, I busted my butt to drop from 165 to 135lbs, doing all the math, eating right, the whole shebang. Then at a family party, my friend’s mom said, "You look great!" but my friend chimed in, "Yeah, but you lost too much." Like, seriously? Then her dad joked I should eat a hamburger. Plus, others low-key hinted I might have an eating disorder. Okay, can people please just zip it unless asked?

Yep, I kicked their device off and haven’t said a peep since. That's how it goes sometimes.

I was all set to enjoy my typical Christmas: pain meds, Chinese food, and Grey’s Anatomy reruns. Friend said they’d bring a meal but ghosted on lunch and dinner. And last year, my friend’s partner ditched me too. Oh, and the surgery? Didn’t work out and left me with some fun side effects. But yeah, I’m fine... just sad for the second Christmas in a row.

We’re in college together, and after she had an embarrassing assignment mishap, I didn’t see this coming. But she broke the lamp outside my door. The CCTV’s got receipts; she’s paying up.

Microwave with a turn dial, 2-minute max for popcorn. Friend sets it for 30 minutes, then plays games. Alarm goes off, popcorn (and microwave) get lit - literally. Now I have no microwave. Great.
