Teachers Spill THE Wildest Things Students Ever Said (You Won’t Believe #5!)
I work with kids who have developmental challenges. One day a usually normal kid tells me to move my bed away from the window because a man outside can reach me from there. Hadn't told him anything about my home. He described the house and window perfectly and said the guy’s been watching for three nights and would come in that night. I stayed over at my sister’s and the next day my window screen was cut open.
I worked with emotionally challenged kids. One violent student haunted my dreams—literally climbing out of my mirror to sit on my chest. Then one day he looks at me in class and goes, “You snore funny when you sleep.” Totally freaked me out.
My coworker had a first grader give her a hug and say there's a baby in her tummy. She laughed and said she just loves pizza. The kid insisted it was a baby girl. Turns out the coworker was just a few days late on her period and then tested positive! She ended up having a girl after two boys. The same kid has since called out four other pregnant ladies before they even knew.
My cousin got a library book called "How to Be an Angel." When the teacher asked why, she said, "Because I'm gonna be one soon." A week later, she tragically died in a car accident. They buried her with the book.
One of my students said he hung out with his grandad all weekend, really excited to tell me the stories. When I told his mom, she stared me down and said his grandad died when he was just 1. We just looked at each other like, wow.
My first grader drew me along with what I thought was my shadow. I said, "Cool, you even drew my shadow!" She said, "No, that's the person who’s always walking behind you, but no one else can see it." Definitely gave me the creeps.
In 2017, one of my sixth graders told me that Mrs. Stockdale was proud of me. She was my sixth grade teacher who inspired me to become a teacher and died back in 1994. Totally made me tear up.
I teach high school and hadn’t told anyone my grandma had just passed. During work time, I asked a student if they needed help and they asked if I believed in spiritual stuff. I said yes, and they told me an older lady with short hair and capris was always around me now. I had to walk away to cry.
Had a three-year-old say he ate his twin brother, who now tells him things. When I asked the mom, she said he was a twin and 'absorbed' the other baby, but he never knew. Twisted, right?
Taught 2nd grade. One quiet kid drew a picture of the class—but there was a tall man in a gray suit by my desk. He said it’s the man who watches me after school. Weirdly, I stay late alone a lot. Later, I found an old photo of a teacher who died here years ago wearing that exact suit. The kid thanked me the next day for remembering him.
I work with special needs kids. I didn’t let one eat a whole medium pizza since others needed some, and she said she hoped I’d die like her friend did. I never told any kid about my friend’s death. That same day, she handed me a jump rope and laughed. I lost it and cried after school.
Door to our classroom opened on its own. Hall was empty. I said, "That’s weird." Kid replied, "Oh, that was just my sister." Problem? The sister had passed away six years before. Hold onto your hats, folks.
I work with 3-year-olds. A new kid somehow came into my room, stared at me with ZERO light in his eyes, and said, 'He will follow you, don’t go home.' Then he walked away like normal again. When I drove home, a car was copying my every turn until I pulled into the police parking lot.
Taught preschool. A little girl pointed at the classroom and couldn’t stop laughing, saying, 'Jerry is so funny.' Jerry was my dad, who had passed away a few years earlier and loved making kids laugh. Spooky and sweet at the same time.
One student told me that her mom lost her fifth pregnancy, but it was OK because she’d see them in a week. Sadly, the little girl passed away in a car accident the following week. Heartbreaking.
Had a student who said he could see and talk to dead people. My best friend died a year before and my kids didn’t know. One day he told me, 'Daniel is standing next to you right now, he’s sorry he's gone but proud of you.' Definitely creepy and sweet.
I have a student who brings his imaginary friend to school. He said his friend didn’t like another kid. An hour later, that kid screamed about being bitten but the cameras showed no one was there. The bite looked like an adult’s. My co-teacher quit right then!
A student’s mom said, 'Don’t freak out, but your mom says she made it safely and Claude and Sheba were waiting for her.' My mom passed a month earlier. Claude was her husband who died 17 years prior and Sheba was her dog who died 25 years ago. Mind blown.
Second grader told me she was sliding down a slide from heaven to be born to her aunt but got pulled back up and later was born to her mom. Turns out the aunt had an abortion. Heavy stuff coming from a little kid.
Not me, but my mom had a kindergarten student who was usually happy. One day she was sad and said, 'I just think something bad is going to happen tomorrow.' The next day? 9/11/2001. Yikes.
Worked at a daycare where a 3-year-old had insane tantrums. One day, while holding her, she stopped, looked at me, and said, 'The voices are telling me to do this.' Yep, she was just 3.
I’m a kindergarten teacher. When I was pregnant, a student touched my belly and said, 'You’ll have surgery for your baby tomorrow.' The next day I had an emergency c-section at 30 weeks. Whoa.
I work with special needs students. A usually nonverbal kid threw a fit but then suddenly spoke fluent Spanish saying he was trapped and couldn’t get out of his body. Then back to silence. The kid’s white and his parents only speak English.
I dreamed one night about running into a student at the mall and hanging out. Later that day, she said, 'Ms, you were in my dream last night and we went shopping!' Freaked me out.
A first grade kid asked who the little boy next to me was. I asked where, and she said he’s right there, named Elijah. I’d miscarried and we never told anyone the baby’s name. That was heartbreaking.
My grandma Evelyn passed in 2021, and so did my other grandma Joan. They both always wore a jean blue flower hat. A year later, a kid shows up with that same hat, blue eyes, and the name Evelyn Joan. Within 5 minutes, she told me she loved and missed me. Wild!
In 2022, a kid came up and said, 'Sir, you were in my dream last night.' I asked, 'Really? What happened?' He said, 'My backpack was filled with your body parts and blood.' I told the school and found out his dad was in jail for chopping up someone in the woods. Yeah, no thanks.
One of our preschool students told us she wanted to eat someone. We said, 'You mean something like a burger, right?' She looked at us and said, 'No, I want to eat people.' Uh-oh.
Caregiver was told by nonverbal girl, 'Get the hell away from my house' with pitch black eyes. Nope.
Preschooler said I will get hit by a car on Dec 15. Now I nervously wait for Dec 15 each year.
Kinder kid hugged me and said there’s a baby girl in my belly. Next day I found out I was 32 weeks pregnant with a baby girl.
Kid growled, talked about the 'red place,' screamed, and self-harmed. When I prayed, she shook her head no and screamed louder. Freaky.
Autistic kid said voices told him to hurt people but his dad said not to. Kid agreed dad was right. Deep talk.
Kindergartner said he likes pushing others down hill because when they roll they look like dead bodies. Creepy.
Nonverbal kid wrote October 8th over and over, pointing at me and then the date. I’m watching that day closely.
Student kept staring at my house on Google Earth, zooming in on windows, saying he sees it in dreams. Blocked it instantly.
